We pointed this out a few days ago, but 57thave did notice that N.O.R.E. was not part of the 25 year celebration of his former label Def Jam. Yes, N.O.R.E. was once part of the Def Jam roster. He released 2 albums under the label, 2002′s God’s Favorite & 2006′s reggaeton project N.O.R.E. Y La Familia. Although neither album garnered Jay-Z or Ja Rule sales, they did spawn some nation wide hits, that to this day, if you throw Nothin’ on in the club, the place goes apes shits. I’ve seen it! But even with crossover hits like Oye Mi Canto (first reggaeton record to play on MTV) and street favorites like Grimey, it wasn’t enough to get any recognition at this years VH1′s Hip-Hop Honors show celebrating the labels 25th anniversary. N.O.R.E. took to his Twitter while watching last night’s VH1′s Hip-Hop Honors show to express some of his feelings on not being part of the show. Don’t trip N.O., the people know the deal. You’re still good with the people & the hood. Not many artist can say that.
