Video: Capone-N-Noreaga- “Bloody Money”

Fifteen years ago, a young Capone-N-Noreaga stormed on to the scene with their 1997 debut album, The War Report, an album filled with gritty New York street tales. The opening track from the album, “Bloody Money”, set the tone for what two expect from the two Queens MC’s who had just recently met in a New York correctional facility and helped catapult Noreaga’s solo career. Now 15 years later, N.O.R.E. revisits the track and gives it the visual treatment. Watch the Will Millions directed video, which revisits some glorious moments from the early CNN days & support The War Report album on iTunes now.

This is one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time. “Stick You” (produced by Naughty Shorts) has an ill ass beat but at the same time, it’s laid back and jazzy. I love that part when N.O.R.E. says, “On some homo shit?” That is hillarious! It’s real though, when a dude gets jacked in the wrong hood, that’s how it goes down. You’re getting stripped down to the bare ass when the guns are in your face! Critics of the genre call it negative cause they never had to live the lives that inspire an album like “War Report.”
